Why do people hate lawyers? For stupidity, arrogance, greed. They always talk nonsense and rude by default. They put you on phone hold if you start asking smart questions. They close the door if you want answers for questions. The business model is money upfront, and “service” in future. I heard few “success” stories. Sometimes lawyers help people, but usually not. Why do people still go to lawyers, if lawyers are mean with them. Fear of jail and death and lack of true information. There are other reasons: some people have trouble with reading and writing. Some people may loose their temper if they are fighting along with the judge and police. The common uses of lawyers are real estate, car accidents, people disputes. You can go to lawyers with all kinds of problems, but I doubt if the lawyer will really help you. The bottom line is that the price for the legal advise or activity is really too high. Why should I pay thousands of dollars if I drive few miles over the limit, got 3 speeding tickets and was arrested for that? This law makes no sense. Another offence is police stupidity which is called police brutality and discrimination. You throw away trash near the garbage box and cops comes to you and start yelling. “Put trash in the box NOW! I mean NOW, Are you playing games with me?” You are confused, he comes closer to you and yells “Battery, you are under arrest.” Cops handcuffed you. In this situation you are afraid to go to judge without a lawyer even though you know that you are right and cops are wrong. Few years ago I paid hundreds of dollars for legal help in buying a home. I am not sure why I paid it. “Everybody pays to the lawyers, maybe I should too.” was my logic A friend told me his criminal case and “help” from his lawyer. Friend drank juice in the library and cops arrested him. It is hard to believe, but it is true. Friend: :Why should I plead guilty for misdemeanor for drinking the juice? Lawyer: Drinking juice is prohibited in the library. You drank in the library. Therefore you are guilty. Say I am guilty to judge.” The conclusion from the above story is that you can get into serious trouble for nothing. My friend paid 3 thousand dollars for lawyer and judge gave him 10 days of community service in nonprofit. Now, my friend is convicted criminal for disorderly conduct, his career is over. All appeal letters to congressmen, mayors, and governors were unanswered. Nobody cares.
