It is very objectionable statement.
Yet, majority of Evangelical people believe in it.

Boykin's statement said that comment was misinterpreted. For those who have been offended by my statements, I offer a sincere apology." How come he can be misinterpret and offer an apology on the same time? You either wrong or right. If somebody misinterpret you, you should never apologize, but accuse the misinterpreter if this will bring benefit to you.

Another contradiction:
1. I am not anti-Islam or any other religion," Boykin said. "I support the free exercise of all religions.

If your God is the real thing, and other god is an idol, how come you support free exercise of all religions?

On the other hand, what a military guy do in his free time is his business. Talking about Christianity and Islam is not his specialty. He should know how to operate the arsenal and obey the orders from above. Being politically correct is a job for the politician, not the soldier.

However, if he was paid by US government to talk in the churches it should be another story.

What difference does it make to an average US citizen? High ranking official talks nonsense about religion and after apologizes and contradicts himself?

For me, there are a lot of mess among military like in CIA, white house, congress. They all leak and they are not sure what they are doing. Does this statement offend Muslims? I am not muslim, but my guess, that it probably offends. I am sure they will get over it. Another thing, that it is just another message that a person cannot sincerely speak at home, church and with his friends. Everything is on the record. No wonder, because we have Patriot Act in order to foster a YES to Bush doctrine society.

Is Bush more politically correct? We will make a crusade against those military islamists. Thanks to Christian and Jewish women for helping women of cover to walk safety.

What will happen to Boykin?
1. He will be downsized like Trent Lott.
2. He will have the same position, and this story will be forgotten in few days.
